Juventus returned to the training ground at Continassa on Sunday, a day after their hard-fought victory away to Pisa, for a light recovery session dedicated to those who featured in the match. Monday has been designated as a rest day for the squad, who will resume preparations on Tuesday ahead of Saturday’s Serie A fixture against Lecce at the Allianz Stadium, kicking off at 6 p.m.
Conceição Targets Return
IlBianconeron report that among the absentees from the weekend’s match were Francisco Conceição and Juan Cabal, both still managing their respective physical issues. Conceição appears closer to making his comeback. His absence against Pisa was particularly felt until Zhegrova’s introduction helped shift the attacking rhythm.
The Portuguese winger aims to be included in the matchday squad for the Lecce game. Throughout the week, he is expected to increase his workload, with Luciano Spalletti and his staff monitoring his fitness closely before deciding how to use him. While a starting spot seems unlikely, even having him available from the bench would provide a significant boost for the Bianconeri.
Cabal Unlikely to Feature
Cabal’s recovery is progressing more slowly. The Colombian defender last played in Bologna, where he scored the decisive goal. According to reports, he is not expected to recover in time for the Lecce match. His target return date is the midweek fixture against Sassuolo on 6 January.
Gatti Still Sidelined
No positive updates for Federico Gatti either. The Italian defender remains unavailable due to a meniscus injury sustained at the end of November. Gatti has been out of action for nearly two months, and his return is not anticipated until mid-January at the earliest.
As Juventus prepare for the busy start to 2026, Spalletti will hope to gradually recover key players to maintain momentum after their win in Pisa.
