Juventus Join Race for Bayern’s Goretzka on a Free Transfer

After the disappointment against Galatasaray, Juventus are ready to refocus as they prepare for their crucial clash with Roma — a match that could prove decisive in the race for Champions League qualification. Securing a top-four finish remains a non-negotiable objective for Luciano Spalletti’s side, as the club continues to build a stronger foundation for the future.

With the summer transfer window approaching, La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juventus are already evaluating potential reinforcements to add quality and experience to the squad. According to reports, one name in particular has caught the Bianconeri’s attention — Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka.

The German international is nearing the end of his contract with the Bavarian club and will be available on a free transfer at the end of the season. Now 31, Goretzka is expected to be one of the most sought-after free agents in the upcoming transfer market. Juventus are reportedly ready to enter the race and have begun exploring the feasibility of a deal.

Early contacts are said to have been established with the player’s representatives, who also manage Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi — another player on Juventus’ radar and likewise approaching the end of his contract. These preliminary talks could serve as the foundation for a potential move.

However, Juventus are far from alone in their pursuit. Several clubs have already made enquiries about Goretzka’s availability, including Milan and Galatasaray — the same side that ended Juve’s Champions League adventure this season. Securing his signature will require swift and strategic action, but the Bianconeri appear determined to make their move.
