Atalanta’s recent 4-0 thrashing of Juventus at the Allianz Stadium has not only highlighted the Bergamo club’s prowess but also showcased the exceptional talent of midfielder Ederson. The Brazilian’s performance, marked by his ability to create play with quality and vertical vision, cover vast distances, and recover numerous balls, has once again caught the eye of top clubs across Europe.

Calciomercato report that Juventus, in particular, are reportedly enamoured with Ederson. Sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is said to be willing to do everything in his power to bring the midfielder to Turin. In fact, during the January transfer window, Giuntoli met with Ederson’s agents in an attempt to secure the player’s agreement for a potential move.

However, Juventus face stiff competition from the Premier League, where Manchester United are currently considered the frontrunners to secure Ederson’s signature. The Red Devils have reportedly signalled their intent to make a substantial offer of €60 million to Atalanta for the Brazilian international.

This significant sum could potentially sway Atalanta’s owners, the Percassi family, to greenlight the transfer, despite their desire to retain their star midfielder. Atalanta have been in talks with Ederson’s representatives for several weeks, hoping to extend his contract beyond its current 2027 expiration date. However, the player seems tempted by the interest from abroad, with the Premier League holding a particular allure for him.
