Juventus Make Progress on Yildiz Contract Renewal

Juventus are moving forward with plans to secure the future of Kenan Yildiz, as discussions over a new contract continue to progress.

According to IlBianconero, the club have made it clear that they see Yildiz as a central figure in their long-term project. After being handed the prestigious number 10 shirt, the Turkish playmaker has become a key player under Luciano Spalletti, earning public praise from the coach for his maturity and talent.

Currently, Yildiz’s contract runs until 30 June 2029, so there is no immediate urgency from a timing perspective. However, Juventus are keen to reward the 20-year-old’s growing influence with an improved salary. The forward currently earns around €1.7 million per season, making him one of the lowest-paid members of the first-team squad—something the club intend to rectify.

The proposed renewal would extend his deal until 2030, with a significant pay rise estimated between €4.5 and €5 million per year. Talks between the two parties have been ongoing, and progress has been made on Friday, 30 January.

There are two key reasons driving Juventus’s determination. From a sporting standpoint, Yildiz is seen as the cornerstone of a new, competitive project designed to return the club to the top in both Italy and Europe. From a strategic perspective, a renewal would also help fend off interest from Premier League clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.

Importantly, Yildiz himself is happy in Turin. He has settled well, developed into a technical leader within the squad, and shares the club’s ambition to grow together. With both sides aligned, an official announcement could follow once the final details are agreed.
