Juventus National Team Return: Squad Reunites Ahead of Fiorentina Clash

Start

With international duties now concluded, several Juventus players are set to return to Turin as the club prepares for its upcoming Serie A fixture against Fiorentina. IlBianconero report how the break has brought a mixed bag of emotions for the Bianconeri contingent, ranging from personal triumphs to missed opportunities and bitter disappointments.

A Varied International Break

Some Juventus players stood out during the international window. Francisco Conceição managed to score for his national side, marking a positive moment for the winger. Khephren Thuram, meanwhile, experienced a bittersweet outcome after his first international goal was overturned and credited as an own goal.

On the other hand, Manuel Locatelli and Andrea Cambiaso faced a tough night, as Italy suffered a heavy defeat to Norway. The loss leaves both players with some mental and physical recovery to do before rejoining their club duties.

First Returns to Continassa

Most of the Juventus internationals wrapped up their commitments on Sunday evening. As a result, the first group is expected back at the Continassa training ground on Tuesday, following a two-day rest period granted by manager Luciano Spalletti. This initial wave includes:

– Locatelli
– Cambiaso
– Conceição
– Thuram
– Kostić

Dusan Vlahovic, who sat out due to adductor fatigue, will also return but remains under close medical supervision. His availability for the Fiorentina match is still uncertain.

Further Arrivals

From Wednesday and Thursday, the remaining players will gradually rejoin the squad. This group includes Adzic, Zhegrova, Kenan Yildiz, Jonathan David, and Loïs Openda. David, in particular, will have to complete a transatlantic flight, but all are expected to be available for Spalletti by Thursday—just 48 hours before the Fiorentina clash.

Preparing for Fiorentina

With the national team players trickling back, Spalletti can now begin assembling his squad for the league match. The next few days will be crucial for assessing the fitness and readiness of each returning player, especially those who played significant minutes or picked up minor knocks during international duty.
