Juventus Respond to Tudor’s Call: Targeted Moves to Elevate the Squad

With less than two weeks until their Club World Cup debut against Al-Ain, Juventus are  already shaping the squad for the 2025/26 season—a campaign that will see them compete in Serie A, Coppa Italia, and the Champions League after clinching qualification in dramatic fashion on the final day.

Tuttosport report (as quoted by IlBianconero) that head coach Igor Tudor made his vision clear: with just two or three key additions, Juventus could significantly raise their level. The club’s management has taken this message to heart, focusing on a handful of strategic signings to build a team tailored for success.

A Reinforcement for Each Department

Defence:
Juventus is looking to invest in youth for the backline. The primary target is Giovanni Leoni, the highly rated 18-year-old defender from Parma, who enjoyed an impressive season and has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Milan. If a deal for Leoni proves difficult, Diego Coppola of Verona, another young talent long monitored by Juventus scouts, is the alternative.

Midfield:
In midfield, the club is searching for a player with the dynamism and qualities of Davide Frattesi. While Frattesi himself was previously considered, attention has now turned to Florentino Luis of Benfica. Known for his technical ability and tenacity, Florentino is set to showcase his skills at the upcoming Club World Cup and fits the profile Juventus is seeking.

Attack:
With Dusan Vlahovic expected to depart, Juventus is working to retain Randal Kolo Muani beyond the Club World Cup. At the same time, the club is intensifying efforts to sign Jonathan David, who will soon be a free agent after his contract with Lille expires. Juventus are keen to capitalize on stalled negotiations between David and Napoli, seeing an opportunity to bring the Canadian striker to Turin.

Additionally, the club is evaluating options for a new winger, with uncertainty surrounding the future of Francisco Conceicao. The decision on whether to secure his permanent transfer remains unresolved.
