Juventus Return for Sancho: The Latest Twist in the Transfer Saga

Start

The transfer market has taken a dramatic turn as Juventus have re-entered the race for Jadon Sancho, intensifying competition with Napoli for the Manchester United winger. Sky Sport Italia report that after initial talks between Napoli and Sancho, Juventus have now opened direct negotiations with Manchester United, focusing on the club-to-club relationship rather than speaking directly with the player.

Sancho, who was a target for Juventus in previous transfer windows, is once again at the centre of attention in Turin. The Bianconeri see him as a priority signing, especially as they look for a replacement for Federico Chiesa before the transfer window closes.

Juventus have proposed a loan deal with an obligation to buy, a formula that could see Sancho initially join on loan before making the move permanent in 2025 if certain targets are met. This approach is necessary due to the high financial demands of a permanent transfer and Sancho’s significant salary. Manchester United, for their part, are keen to offload the winger, who has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford and spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund.

The main obstacle remains Sancho’s salary, which is among the highest at United. Juventus are negotiating for Manchester United to cover part of his wages to facilitate the move. Despite these challenges, Juventus are confident of securing Sancho’s signature, especially as Chelsea’s interest has cooled and Napoli are hesitant to meet United’s asking price.
