Juventus Starlet Elimoghale Trains Under Spalletti: A Glimpse of the Future

A fresh face joined Juventus’ training session at Continassa this week — and it’s one that might soon become familiar to Bianconeri fans. IlBianconero report that sixteen-year-old Destiny Elimoghale, a standout performer in the Primavera squad, was called up to train with the first team under the watchful eye of Luciano Spalletti ahead of the trip to Pisa on 27 December.

It was a rewarding moment for the youngster coached by Simone Padoin in the Primavera setup, marking a milestone in what has already been a season of rapid growth. Spalletti’s decision to include him reflects both the club’s trust in his potential and the merit of his recent performances in the youth ranks.

A Promising Season in the Academy

Elimoghale, born in 2009, is enjoying his first campaign with Juventus Primavera after impressing with the Under-17 and Under-18 sides, often playing above his age group. So far this season, he has featured in 13 matches across the Primavera 1 championship and the UEFA Youth League, starting nine of them. His tally includes one goal and two assists — modest numbers that only hint at the dynamism he brings to the pitch.

Style and Role

A left-footed attacker who loves to operate on the left flank, Elimoghale’s direct running and creative instincts have already drawn comparisons — cautiously — to Rafael Leão. However, the youngster himself has cited Neymar as his footballing inspiration. His versatility makes him even more intriguing: between Juve and the national youth teams, he has been tested as a winger, a playmaker, and even a centre-forward.
