Juventus Track Kayode Ahead of Summer Market: The Figures and the Plan

Juventus are already turning their attention to the summer, with club directors carefully evaluating potential reinforcements for next season. Among the names being monitored is Michael Kayode, the young right-back currently playing for Brentford in the Premier League.

In recent weeks, the Turin club have been laying the groundwork for their future by securing two key renewals — Kenan Yildiz and Weston McKennie — in addition to goalkeeper Carlo Pinsoglio. These moves highlight Juventus’ long-term strategy, one that is closely linked to a crucial short-term objective: qualifying for next season’s Champions League. That achievement would strongly influence the budget and scope of their summer transfer plans.

Kayode in Juventus’ Sights

According to reports from Tuttosport, Juventus have been following Kayode closely through their scouting network in England. The 19-year-old defender joined Brentford last summer after emerging from Fiorentina’s youth system. His adaptation to the Premier League has been swift and impressive, confirming the talent he had shown in Serie A and with Italy’s Under-21 side.

Interestingly, Kayode has past ties with Juventus — he spent time in the club’s youth academy before moving elsewhere to gain experience. Now, sporting director Giovanni Manna’s scouting team have placed his name back on their shortlist as a possible addition to strengthen the right flank.

The Numbers

Kayode signed a long-term deal with Brentford running until June 2030 after being bought for around €18 million from Fiorentina. The English club consider him an important part of their project and would not be tempted to sell easily. Any bid, at this stage, would likely need to reach at least €30 million to open negotiations.

The Plan

At present, there is nothing concrete between Juventus and Brentford — only observations and early assessments. The Bianconeri’s priority remains finishing inside the top four and securing Champions League football for next season, but the management are already mapping out their summer strategy.

Kayode fits the profile of young, talented, Italian players Juventus aim to build around for the future. While no formal move is imminent, the club’s growing interest suggests his name could be one to watch when the transfer window opens.
