Milan and Juventus Heat Up the Transfer Market: Tomori, Theo Hernandez, and Vlahovic at the Centre

Start

Tuttosport report (as quoted by IlBianconero)  that the transfer window is bringing new energy to the relationship between AC Milan and Juventus, with several high-profile deals under consideration that could reshape both squads ahead of the 2025-26 season.

Fikayo Tomori’s Potential Move to Juventus

Talks between Milan and Juventus have intensified, with Fikayo Tomori once again emerging as a key figure. Earlier in the year, Juventus came close to securing Tomori on loan, but technical considerations on Milan’s side put the brakes on the deal. Now, the situation has evolved, and Juventus are reportedly revisiting the English defender as they look to reinforce their backline. The clubs are discussing whether the terms from winter—initially a €5 million loan with a €20 million option to buy—can be adjusted, especially since Tomori is no longer considered untouchable at Milan. The outcome of these negotiations could see Tomori donning the black and white stripes in the near future.

Theo Hernandez and Dusan Vlahovic: A Sensational Swap Deal?

Another major storyline involves a potential swap deal between Milan’s Theo Hernandez and Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic. Both players have contracts expiring in 2026 and have struggled to reach new agreements with their current clubs. This has opened the door to an exchange that would see Hernandez move to Turin and Vlahovic head to Milan.

Preliminary talks have begun, with both clubs valuing their respective stars at around €30 million. However, salary demands present a significant hurdle. Vlahovic is set to earn €12 million per season at Juventus, a figure Milan is unlikely to match. Meanwhile, Hernandez is seeking a €6 million annual contract, which Juventus could be willing to offer.

Interest in both players extends beyond Italy. Hernandez has turned down a lucrative offer from Al Hilal and failed to reach terms with Atletico Madrid, signalling his preference to remain in European football. Vlahovic, for his part, has rejected an approach from Fenerbahce and is reportedly keen on a new challenge, with Milan’s new coach Massimiliano Allegri—who previously managed Vlahovic at Juventus—already making contact with the Serbian striker.

Financial and Contractual Considerations

While the transfer fees for both Hernandez and Vlahovic seem manageable, the main obstacle remains the players’ salaries. Milan’s financial structure makes it difficult to accommodate Vlahovic’s current wages, while Juventus are more flexible regarding Hernandez’s demands. Both clubs are still in the exploratory phase, weighing the benefits of solving multiple squad issues through a single, high-profile swap.
