Motta Bids Farewell to Juventus: “Intense Moments, Thanks to the Club, Management, and Players”

Thiago Motta has expressed his sentiments following his dismissal from Juventus, sharing a heartfelt message through ANSA. The former coach reflected on his brief but intense tenure with the Italian giants, offering gratitude to those who supported him during his time at the club.

In his statement, Motta said, “I have experienced intense moments, always faced with maximum determination and the will to improve every day. I thank the ownership for giving me the opportunity to be part of this great club, the management and all the people at the club who supported me in my daily work, and the players for their work and commitment from the very first day together. I wish the fans and Juventus all the best for the future.”

The dismissal of Motta and the appointment of Igor Tudor were officially announced by Juventus yesterday. Following a pivotal decision made on Saturday evening to entrust the Croatian coach with the team, the club released official statements confirming both the termination of their relationship with the former Bologna manager and the arrival of the ex-Verona coach.

Motta’s departure comes after just ten months in charge, during which time he faced significant challenges. His tenure, which began with high hopes as part of a new Juventus project following the end of the Allegri era, concluded in a disappointing manner. The team’s performance under Motta’s guidance had been underwhelming, with Juventus finding themselves out of all cup competitions by March and currently sitting fifth in the Serie A table.
