After Juventus’s 2–1 defeat to Napoli, Manuel Locatelli spoke to DAZN, offering an honest reflection on the team’s performance and his responsibilities as captain.
“The coach asked us to keep possession to create superiority, but they pressed us well. We made mistakes that just can’t be made. We definitely have to do better than this,” Locatelli said, analysing what went wrong for the Bianconeri.
He went on to discuss Juventus’s current situation:
“We know what position we’re in and that we need to do better, because we are better than this. We have to get points — in the end, words mean little. Am I always the one speaking after defeats? These are the responsibilities a captain must take on. I have to try to set an example and explain, in words, why we lost, even though what really matters is what happens on the pitch.”
