Start

Juventus has officially announced the appointment of Damien Comolli as the club’s new General Director, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Turin-based giants. Comolli, who recently stepped down as president of Toulouse, will assume his new role on June 4, 2025, reporting directly to CEO Maurizio Scanavino.

With over thirty years of experience in European football, Comolli brings a wealth of technical, managerial, and strategic expertise to Juventus. His impressive résumé includes key positions at prestigious clubs such as Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Fenerbahçe, and most recently Toulouse, where he guided the club to promotion to Ligue 1 and secured a historic Coupe de France victory.

In his new role, Comolli will oversee the men’s sporting area as well as the marketing and commercial departments. He will play a pivotal role in shaping the club’s future, including making crucial decisions such as the appointment of the next head coach. This appointment follows the recent departure of Cristiano Giuntoli, Juventus’ former Managing Director of Football.

Supporting Comolli will be Giorgio Chiellini, a legendary figure at Juventus, who will serve as Director of Football Strategy. Chiellini’s deep connection to the club and understanding of its values will be instrumental as Juventus continues to strengthen its organizational structure and pursue ambitious goals.

CEO Maurizio Scanavino welcomed Comolli, stating, “We welcome Damien Comolli and wish him the best in his work. His professionalism and experience will be fundamental in strengthening Juventus.”

Expressing his enthusiasm, Comolli said, “I am happy and honoured to join a unique club, renowned for its history, identity, and vision. From day one, I will bring all my experience to Juventus with the goal of achieving the success this club and its fans deserve.”
