Juventus have officially announced the appointment of Damien Comolli as their new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding Maurizio Scanavino. The decision was formalised during the club’s latest Board of Directors meeting held in Turin.
The appointment marks the first major move of the newly formed board, which convened following the shareholders’ assembly held on 7 November. Comolli, who had previously served as General Director, now assumes full executive powers in continuity with the club’s existing management structure.
The Club’s Official Statement
In an official statement released by Juventus, the club confirmed: “The Board of Directors of Juventus Football Club S.p.A., meeting today under the chairmanship of Gianluca Ferrero, resolved, among other matters, on the appointment of corporate positions and the delegation of powers to the directors. The Board appointed Damien Comolli as Chief Executive Officer, with the simultaneous termination of his role as General Director, granting him administrative powers broadly in line with the previous structure.”
Committee Appointments
The club also confirmed the formation of new internal committees, following verification of eligibility, independence, and regulatory compliance of all members. The new committees and their respective members are as follows:
– Control and Risk Committee: Fioranna Vittoria Negri (Chair), Antonio Belloni, Guido de Boer
– Nominations and Remuneration Committee: Antonio Belloni (Chair), Laura Cappiello, Guido de Boer
– Related Party Transactions Committee: Laura Cappiello (Chair), Diva Moriani, Fioranna Vittoria Negri
Other Corporate Confirmations
The Board reaffirmed the existing composition and roles of the Supervisory and Guarantee Bodies, along with several senior management positions. Stefano Cerrato was confirmed as Officer in charge pursuant to Article 154-bis of Legislative Decree No. 58/1998 and as Investor Relator. Mauro Plati continues as Risk & Compliance and Internal Audit Director, while Stefania Dulio remains Head of Internal Audit.
Additionally, Greta Bodino, Chief People, Culture & ESG Officer, was appointed Officer in charge of Sustainability, in continuity with the appointment for the 2024/2025 financial year.
Compensation Decision Deferred
Finally, Juventus announced that discussions regarding directors’ remuneration and compensation packages have been postponed to a future meeting.
