OFFICIAL: Juventus Extend Arkadiusz Milik’s Contract Until 2027

Start

Juventus have officially announced the contract extension of Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik, securing his services until June 30, 2027. Milik, who joined the club in August 2022, has scored 17 goals in 75 appearances for the Bianconeri, but has career has been riddled with a series of serious injuries.

Contract Details and Financial Strategy

The extension comes with significant changes to Milik’s contract terms. Previously set to expire in 2026, the new agreement adds an extra year but also reduces his annual net salary from €3.5 million to approximately €1.75 million. This adjustment is a strategic move by Juventus, aimed at minimizing the club’s wage bill and providing greater flexibility for potential loan or transfer arrangements in the upcoming summer window. By spreading the remaining salary over a longer period, Juventus can better manage their financial commitments and comply with league regulations.

A Challenging Year for Milik

Despite the contract renewal, Milik’s recent career has been marred by injuries. The striker has not featured in any matches during the current season, with his last appearance dating back to May 25, 2024, against Monza. Shortly after that match, Milik suffered a knee injury while playing for Poland in a friendly against Ukraine, which forced him to miss the final stages of the European Championship.

Milik underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee in June 2024, followed by a second procedure in October. His rehabilitation has been complicated by additional setbacks, including a calf injury in January and another muscle problem in March. As a result, he has been sidelined for the entire season, focusing on recovery and rehabilitation in Turin.
