OFFICIAL: Juventus Sign Lois Openda

Start

Juventus have officially confirmed the signing of Belgian striker Lois Openda from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. The deal involves an initial loan period until June 30, 2026, for a fee of €3.3 million, with performance-related bonuses up to €0.8 million. Juventus also has an obligation to make the transfer permanent during the 2025/2026 season, with a fixed transfer fee of around €40.6 million payable over four years, plus additional charges.

Openda, 25, arrives in Turin following a prolific spell at Leipzig, where he scored 41 goals and contributed 18 assists in 93 appearances since joining in 2023 from Ligue 1’s Lens. Known for his pace, sharp movement, and ability to stretch defenses, he is expected to bolster Juventus’ attacking options and provide versatility upfront.

This signing comes after Juventus failed to secure a permanent deal for Randal Kolo Muani from Paris Saint-Germain, turning their attention to Openda as a primary alternative. Openda’s arrival marks the second signing for Juventus in a short period after Edon Zhegrova joined from Lille.

Openda is expected to sign a contract lasting until 2030, becoming a key figure in Juventus’ plans to strengthen their forward line for the coming seasons.
