Spalletti

OFFICIAL: Juventus Welcome Luciano Spalletti as New Head Coach

Start

Luciano Spalletti has been officially appointed as Juventus’ new head coach, signing a contract with the club until 30 June 2026.

Born in Certaldo, near Florence, in 1959, Spalletti began his managerial journey three decades ago following a playing career that included spells with Spezia and Empoli. His early coaching success came at the Tuscan club itself, where he lifted the Serie C Coppa Italia and guided them to Serie A promotion, earning a reputation as one of Italy’s most forward-thinking tacticians.

His breakthrough came with Udinese in the early 2000s, steering the club to three consecutive European qualifications. During the 2004/05 campaign, he led the Friuli side to their first-ever Champions League appearance, a milestone that paved the way for his move to Roma. Over four seasons at the capital side, he collected two Coppa Italia titles and a Supercoppa Italiana.

Spalletti’s career then took him abroad to Zenit St. Petersburg, where between 2009 and 2014 he claimed two Russian Premier League titles, a domestic cup, and the Super Cup. Returning to Italy, he went on to manage Roma once more and then Inter, before achieving one of the crowning moments of his career by guiding Napoli to the 2022/23 Serie A title. Most recently, he led the Italian national team until June this year.

Juventus are thrilled to welcome a coach of such remarkable pedigree and insight. Welcome to Turin, Coach Spalletti — and best of luck on your new journey with the Bianconeri.
