The summer’s final signing is confirmed. Nick Woltemade has completed his medical at the J-Medical centre in Turin and signed his contract with Juventus — the German striker joining on a straight, non-convertible loan from Newcastle United for the duration of the 2026-27 season. He will wear the number 27 shirt.

The Financial Details — a Net Saving on David

Juventus’s official communication confirms the deal as a straight loan, valid until 30 June 2027, at a fixed fee of €2.8 million — with ancillary costs of €0.8 million and performance-related bonuses of up to €0.5 million. The total maximum financial outlay for the loan is therefore €4.1 million. No purchase option of any kind is included in the agreement.

The Career — Confirmed and Precise

The full career chronology, as confirmed by Calciomercato’s official article, is as follows. Born in 2002, Woltemade developed at Werder Bremen — 51 appearances and 2 goals for the senior team. During his time there he spent the 2022-23 season on loan at SV Elversberg, where he played 35 matches and scored 17 goals. In 2024 he moved to Stuttgart, where he again produced 17 goals in 35 appearances — the season that convinced Newcastle United to pay €80 million plus €10 million in bonuses for his signature. At Newcastle in 2025-26 he made 51 appearances and scored 11 goals. In the current season, before joining Juventus, he made two appearances for Newcastle without scoring.

Number 27 and a Clean Start

The number 27 shirt assignment completes the formalities. After a summer that began with a boardroom revolution and has ended on the final day of the window with a striker landed in its closing hours, the new Juventus is assembled. The season, at last, begins in earnest.
