Paco Esteban: The Rising Spanish Striker on Juventus’ Radar

Juventus continue to be active in the transfer market, targeting fresh talent to rejuvenate its squad, especially in attack. After securing Francisco Conceição on a permanent deal and adding Jonathan David to their frontline, the Bianconeri have now set their sights on another promising young forward: Paco Esteban.

Who is Paco Esteban?

Paco Esteban is a Spanish striker born in 2006, currently owned by Real Betis. His football journey began in the youth academy of Villarreal before he moved to Atlético Madrid in 2020. His talent quickly caught the eye, and by 2022, he had already signed his first professional contract with the Madrid club.

In the 2024/25 season, Esteban made a move to Betis, where he joined their Under-19 team. There, he continued his development and solidified his reputation as one of Spain’s brightest young attacking prospects.

Playing Style and Strengths

Esteban is regarded as a modern striker — strong, fast, and gifted with a keen sense of goal-scoring. His playing style is influenced by Fernando Torres, combining physical presence with technical finesse. Esteban’s ability to find the back of the net and his sharp instincts inside the box have made him a player to watch, with several top clubs, including Juventus, already showing serious interest.

A Standout 2024/25 Season

The past season was a breakthrough year for Esteban. He netted 20 goals in 41 appearances for Betis’ Under-19 squad. A remarkable debut performance in Spain’s División de Honor saw him score twice and assist once in a commanding 5–1 win over Calavera CF.

His impact extended to the international youth stage as well. In the UEFA Youth League, Esteban made a strong impression by scoring four goals and providing one assist in just three matches. His standout performance came against Sassuolo, where he scored a hat-trick to announce himself on the European scene.

A Future in Black and White?

Juventus has already made formal contact with Betis over Esteban, seeing in him not only a future star but also a player who could contribute to their long-term plans. While still early in his career, Esteban’s potential suggests he could soon make the leap from youth sensation to first-team regular — whether at Betis, Juventus, or another major European club.
