Former Juventus striker Fabrizio Ravanelli has shared his thoughts on the Bianconeri’s current moment, the work of Luciano Spalletti, and the future of Dusan Vlahović. Speaking during IlBianconero’s Podcast event in Turin’s Piazza Teresa Noce, where members of the club’s 1996 Champions League-winning side were in attendance, the ex-forward gave a frank assessment of Juventus’ prospects.
Juventus and the Champions League
“Yes, Juventus will reach the Champions League,” Ravanelli said confidently. “I have to acknowledge Spalletti’s work, even in matches we unfortunately lost, like the one against Galatasaray. The team always played courageously and came out with their heads held high, showing an attacking style of football.”
On Spalletti’s approach
Ravanelli also praised the national team coach’s football philosophy:
“I like the way Spalletti works. His teams love to attack and challenge opponents in every aspect, including physically. I really enjoy their ability to press and win the ball back immediately after losing it. And when they take the lead, their mindset is to score the second and third goals rather than protecting the result.”
On Vlahović and Juventus’ transfer plans
Turning to the club’s transfer outlook, Ravanelli offered a measured response on Dusan Vlahović’s renewal:
“Vlahović’s renewal? I’d say neither yes nor no,” he admitted. “Looking ahead to next season, Juventus will need to bring in two forwards, a defender or a couple of full-backs, and two midfielders. With six strong additions, they’ll be ready to fight for the Serie A title again and reclaim their status on the international stage.”
