Daniele Rugani has been forced to stop due to injury, with the Juventus defender suffering a muscle problem involving his right calf. Tests carried out at the club’s J|Medical facility have confirmed a low-grade lesion to the soleus muscle, sustained during training on Tuesday, 18 November.
The club released an official statement following the examinations:
“After experiencing a muscle issue during Tuesday’s training session, Daniele Rugani underwent radiological assessments this morning at the J|Medical. The scans revealed a low-grade lesion to the soleus muscle of his right leg.”
Recovery Time
While the injury is not serious, it will still require a short spell on the sidelines. Recovery time for this type of problem is usually around three weeks, though it could take slightly longer depending on how the situation evolves. Juventus’ medical staff will continue to monitor his progress closely in the coming days.
When Rugani Could Return
Rugani is certain to miss all of Juventus’ remaining fixtures in November and is expected to be unavailable for the opening matches of December as well. His return could come after mid-December, with the aim of being back in the squad either for the matches against Bologna or Roma, or potentially for the final game of 2025 against Pisa.
Matches Rugani Will Miss
The defender will definitely be out for the following fixtures:
– Fiorentina
– Bodo/Glimt
– Cagliari
– Udinese (Coppa Italia)
– Napoli
– Pafos
He remains doubtful for the clash with Bologna.
