Juventus v Lecce

Serie A | Juventus 1-1 Lecce: Player Ratings

Start

Jonathan David’s botched Panenka attempt encapsulated Juventus’ lack of composure in front of goal during their 1-1 stalemate with Lecce, as Lameck Banda punished them with greater precision.

Juventus

Di Gegorio: Didn’t have a save to make….until the very end of the first half, and he maybe should have done better with it. 5.5/10

Kalulu: Dependable at the back, as always. A little less effective in the final third. 5.5/10

Bremer: Had precious little to do, but was still a reliable presence at the back. 5.5/10

Kelly: Another reliable shift from the Englishman who was mostly foot perfect at both ends of the pitch. 6.0/10

Cambiaso: Drove an early effort at Falcone, forcing a good save. Tested him again and was only denied by a fingertip save. Simply had to do better with his third effort, which he put over the bar. Played a dreadful pass that Banda was able to capitalise on; A game to forget. 4.0/10

Thuram: After a busy first half, he drifted in and out of the game. Looked a little off the pace. 5.5/10

Locatelli: Kept Juve dominant in the first half and then put a very good effort just wide of the far post. 6.0/10

⭐ Mckennie: Buzzing from the off, full of pace and energy, arguably the best player of the first half. Bought Juve level with a deserved equaliser and showed his importance to Spalletti’s starting XI yet again. 7.0/10

Conceicao: Very subdued first half, possibly still working his way back to fitness. 5.0/10

Yildiz: Picked up where he left off last, game and nearly every game this season: Electric on the left, cutting in, beating defenders and constantly looking to create. Setup McKennie to draw Juve level with a good assist 6.5/10

David: Had a brilliant headed effort somehow kept out by Falcone. Stepped up to take the penalty and it was a truly dreadful one, a player truly bereft of confidence. Almost redeemed himself late on, but Falcone was on hand, yet again. 4.0/10

Spalletti: Seemingly fielded his strongest starting XI, made the right-ish subs at the right time. Not sure how much of the result is on him, given the players at his disposal. 6.0/10

Substitutions
