Despite going behind early on, Juventus edged out a tough Cagliari side with Kenan Yildiz stealing the show with his excellent brace.
Juventus
Perin: Not often tested, perhaps could have done better on the Cagliari opener. 5.5/10
Kalulu: Often found himself high up the pitch and was pretty good at the back as well. Helped setup Juve’s second with a perfectly weighted assist. 6.5/10
Kelly: Was in the right place at the right time to deny Cagliari a few chances and generally put in a really solid shift. 6.0/10
Koopmeiners: Did well enough at the back but simply had to find the target when teed up on the ’52 minute mark to put Juve three goals up. 5.5/10
Kostic: Abysmal stuff on the Cagliari opener, simply had to do better. Did marginally better to deny Palestra a little later on but was mostly anonymous and subbed off. 4.0/10
Thuram: Really pressed into the opposition half to try and get the attack moving. Better than he has been in recent weeks but still looked off the pace at times. 5.5/10
Locatelli: A slightly middling performance, good with his passing but things were a little too slow and laboured in the centre of the pitch. 5.5/10
McKennie: Helped setup the Juve second goal with a brilliant flick to set Kalulu on his way. 6.0/10
⭐ Yildiz: Once again showed why Juventus are so reliant on his creativity, first equalising with a wonderful finish before putting the Old Lady ahead with a moment of magic. Stunning. 8.5/10
Conceicao: Had a free header which he needed to do better with. Clean through and only had to beat the keeper at the start of the second half, only to fluff his lines. Had another couple of half chances that were wasted. Not his night. 5.5/10
Vlahovic: Pushed up and pressed the Cagliari backline but unfortunately picked up an early injury which looked most unfortunate. N/A
Substitutions
David: Showed signs of being a little rusty, dwelling on the ball too long on occasions. 5.0/10
Cambiaso: Pedestrian. 5.0/10
Miretti: Made an immediate impact, setting up David for a half chance on goal. 5.5/10
