Serie A | Juventus v Pisa: Probable starting lineups

Juventus are determined to return to winning ways after a difficult spell that has seen them collect just five points from their last five league matches. Despite the drop in results, Luciano Spalletti remains optimistic, insisting his players have reacted positively in training and shown the desire to fight back.

The Current Situation

The Bianconeri have not celebrated a Serie A victory since 1 February, when they beat Parma 4–1 on the same day new signings Jérémie Boga and Emil Holm were undergoing their medicals at the J Medical centre. Since then, draws against Lazio and Roma and defeats to Inter and Como have made it a challenging month.

A boost for Juventus comes with Dusan Vlahovic’s partial return to group training. The Serbian striker will not feature against Pisa but is expected to make his comeback in the next match against Udinese. His progress is a positive sign for both the player and the team heading into the final stretch of the season.

Spalletti’s Choices

Heading into tonight’s match, Spalletti faces fewer selection dilemmas than usual. The main question remains in goal, where Michele Di Gregorio and Mattia Perin are vying for a starting spot. Di Gregorio is currently slightly favoured to return between the posts after two games of rest.

In defence, the coach is expected to stick with his usual back four, while Manuel Locatelli rejoins Thuram in central midfield. Further forward, Kenan Yildiz will again feature in the attacking trio alongside Weston McKennie and Francisco Conceição, supporting Jonathan David as the lone striker.
