Tensions flared at the end of the Derby della Mole, as Juventus and Torino played out a goalless draw in Turin. Calciomercato report that following the final whistle, a heated exchange took place between Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti and Torino’s assistant manager Leonardo Colucci, who was standing in for the suspended Marco Baroni on the Granata bench.
According to post-match reports, the confrontation arose from an incident in the closing moments of the match. Speaking to DAZN, Spalletti shared his version of events, explaining the reason behind the disagreement.
Spalletti revealed that he was annoyed by the conduct of a Torino player during a throw-in late in the game. Believing the player’s behaviour was unsporting, the Juventus coach voiced his frustration directly to Colucci.
“I’ve known Colucci for a very long time, as well as his head coach,” Spalletti said. “I told him that one of their players pretended twice to give us the ball for a throw-in and then didn’t. I just mentioned that maybe he could avoid things like that, because the cameras catch everything and it doesn’t look good.”
Despite the tense moment, both benches eventually calmed down, and the incident ended without further escalation. Still, the fiery exchange added an extra spark to an already intense Turin derby.
