“Spalletti Is Meticulous”: Perin Reflects on Juventus’ New Era

At the Social Football Summit, Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin offered an honest take on the club’s current transition and the arrival of new manager Luciano Spalletti, speaking openly to Sky cameras (as quoted by IlBianconero) about the changes at Continassa.

Juventus are currently adapting to Spalletti’s working style, following the dismissal of Igor Tudor just a few weeks ago. Addressing the change of managers and its impact, Perin remarked:

“These are difficult moments, because I don’t know if people outside really perceive it, but when a coach is changed, we feel we are the first ones responsible. The manager is important, but it’s us who go out onto the pitch. It’s a failure, but you can be reborn and build something important from failure, if there are solid foundations.”

Discussing Spalletti’s approach since taking charge, Perin observed:

“The coach is trying to bring us new ideas on a technical level; he’s very meticulous, extremely attentive, almost maniacal. We needed a jolt in this respect, and emotionally he’s trying to help us understand that if we wear this shirt, it’s because we deserve it and we have to demonstrate that even more.”
