Juventus have officially inaugurated its Hall of Fame inside the Jmuseum in Turin, marking what the club described as “a day to remember.”
The launch event, attended by Juventus president Gianluca Ferrero and Juventus Museum president Paolo Garimberti, introduces a permanent space dedicated to honouring those who elevated the black and white shirt into legend.
“For the first time, Juventus dedicates an official and permanent space to those who, through the men’s and women’s first teams, have written our history,” read the club statement. “The Hall of Fame is both a tribute to the past and a bridge to the future: a place to relive emotions and pass on values.”
Criteria for Entry
Entry into the Juventus Hall of Fame requires one key condition: candidates must no longer be active players. Beyond that, they must meet at least one of the following criteria:
– At least 350 appearances for Juventus
– Winning 15 or more trophies with the club
– Serving as captain for at least 70 matches
– Scoring 100 goals for Juventus
– Winning the Ballon d’Or while wearing the Juventus jersey
The First 50 Legends
The inauguration celebrated the induction of an initial group of 50 iconic figures in Juventus history, selected in alphabetical order. Among them were Alessandro Del Piero, Gianluigi Buffon, Michel Platini, Gaetano Scirea, Claudio Marchisio, Roberto Baggio, David Trezeguet, Pavel Nedved, Zinedine Zidane, Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli, Gianluca Vialli and Dino Zoff. The women’s team was represented as well, with captain Sara Gama included among the first names.
A Living Project
Juventus confirmed that the Hall of Fame will continue to expand over time. Future inductees will be proposed by the club but chosen by the fans, ensuring supporters play an active role in shaping this collective tribute. Coaches and managers will also be considered in future additions.
“With the Hall of Fame, we don’t just want to look to the past,” the club stated, “but to renew our bond with the Juventus people and with all those who have made our shirt great.”
The Voices of Juventus
Club owner John Elkann hailed the inauguration:
“The Hall of Fame of Juventus, launched today in our Museum, is an extraordinary tribute to the greatness of our club and to a history that has united generations of Juventini across the world. It is a homage to the purest passion for football, because every child dreams of imitating their favourite champion, and every supporter has a player in their heart.”
President Gianluca Ferrero echoed this spirit:
“Juventus means youth, and that is our identity—in our spirit, in boldness, and in the pursuit of challenge. But Juventus also has a great history, lived every day inside this Museum, and today we celebrate it through the Hall of Fame.”
For Museum president Paolo Garimberti, the project represents continuity and innovation:
“The Juventus Museum has always been the home of our supporters, of our present and our future. The Hall of Fame is the right way to celebrate Juventus champions, because it goes beyond numbers and is based on true merit, worthy of those who have written the club’s history.”
