The standoff between Juventus and Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic has reached a critical point, with both sides refusing to make concessions. Vlahovic, whose contract with Juventus expires in less than a year, is holding firm on his financial demands, while the club is equally resolute in its stance. The situation has created significant tension, as both parties have much at stake.
La Repubblica report (as quoted by IlBianconero) how Vlahovic is at a pivotal stage in his career, seeking to revive his fortunes after an inconsistent spell in Turin. For Juventus, the high annual cost of his contract is a major burden, limiting their ability to act in the transfer market unless he departs.
Negotiations over Vlahovic’s exit are proving complicated. The striker has consistently rejected contract extensions that would lower his salary, reportedly turning down an offer of €8 million per year from Juventus and a proposal from Milan worth around €6 million annually. Milan, despite being willing to pay a transfer fee of approximately €20 million, has not met Vlahovic’s wage expectations. Further talks between the player’s representatives and Juventus are expected, but optimism is in short supply.
Vlahovic’s agents, the Ristic brothers, have demanded a severance package totalling €10 million—split evenly between themselves and the player—as a condition for terminating the contract early. Juventus, under new management, has tightened policies on agent commissions and is not inclined to accept such terms.
For Vlahovic, the severance appears to be a matter of principle, insisting on the €5 million each for himself and his agents regardless of his next destination. Milan remains interested, with former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri—now at Milan—publicly maintaining a good relationship with the striker. However, the prospect of a move to Fenerbahce has faded after Vlahovic declined their advances, prompting the Turkish club to sign another forward.
Attention has now shifted to Saudi Arabia, where Al Hilal, managed by Simone Inzaghi, has reportedly made direct contact with Vlahovic following the club’s failed pursuit of Victor Osimhen.
