Vlahović–Juventus, Crucial Meeting Set: The Conditions for a New Deal

The story between Dušan Vlahović and Juventus is not over yet. The coming weeks promise to be decisive both on and off the pitch, with the Serbian striker’s future still wide open and a key meeting now on the horizon.

A Future Still to Be Decided

Tuttosport report how, on the sporting front, Vlahović is finally approaching the finish line in his recovery and is expected to be back at Luciano Spalletti’s disposal in March. At the same time, however, his contractual situation remains unresolved, with only four months left on his current deal with the Bianconeri. For the moment, the next step in his career is still unclear, and staying in Turin is not excluded.

The idea that Vlahović’s time at Juventus must end this summer is far from a certainty. The club and player are preparing to reopen a dialogue that could yet lead to a new agreement.

A Concrete Meeting on the Agenda

In recent days, the possibility of fresh talks between Vlahović’s entourage and Juventus had begun to surface, and this has now taken shape. According to reports, a real, concrete meeting is scheduled, with both parties ready to sit back down at the table.

The negotiation effectively restarts from scratch, as there has never really been a shared path towards an agreement in previous discussions. The feeling, however, is that the next summit could already be decisive in understanding whether the scenario of Vlahović staying in Turin should be considered a serious and realistic option.

Juventus’ Possible Proposal

The key to everything will be narrowing the gap between the player’s demands and the club’s offer, which until a few months ago remained very wide. Vlahović’s current salary, which can reach up to 12 million euros, sits well outside the new parameters imposed by Juventus for their wage structure.

The Bianconeri are now working with a new internal ceiling, effectively set at “Yildiz level”, after Kenan Yıldız’s recent renewal to around 6 million euros per season. The offer to Vlahović is therefore expected to move within that range, making any extension conditional on a significant pay cut from the striker.

Interest from Other Clubs

Another decisive factor for Vlahović’s future will be the offers that may arrive from elsewhere. Interest is not lacking. In Italy, Milan have never completely abandoned the idea of signing him and continue to monitor his situation carefully.

Abroad, his entourage has been active in recent weeks. Vlahović would welcome an experience in Spain, where Atlético Madrid have previously shown strong interest in him. Barcelona also made enquiries in recent months, though without ever taking the final step towards a concrete bid.

For now, there are still no formal, substantial offers on the table for the Serbian forward, but that could change quickly as the summer approaches.

Doors Still Open to Juventus

Despite all the uncertainty, Vlahović has never closed the door on Juventus. On the contrary, the upcoming meeting has opened up a new window of opportunity at Continassa. If the financial distance can be reduced and no irresistible proposals arrive from other clubs, the option of continuing together in black and white remains very much alive.
