Thursday, 4 December proved an important day not only for Federico Gatti but also for Dusan Vlahovic. The Serbian striker, who sustained an injury during Juventus’ match against Cagliari, has undergone surgery in London to repair a high-grade tear to the muscle–tendon junction of his left adductor longus, suffered last Saturday at the Allianz Stadium in Turin.
In an official statement, Juventus confirmed that Vlahovic underwent a surgical procedure to repair the tendon avulsion of his left adductor. The operation was performed by Professors Ernest Schilders and Rowena Johnson, with club doctor Marco Freschi present, at Mayo Clinic Healthcare and the Wellington Hospital in London. The surgery was deemed completely successful, and Vlahovic will begin his rehabilitation programme immediately.
The club has not provided a specific timeline for his return, but the striker is expected to focus on his recovery over the coming months before resuming individual training.
Vlahovic has been an integral part of Juventus’ attack during the first half of the season, scoring six goals across all competitions — evenly split between Serie A and the Champions League. His current record includes 17 appearances, 10 starts, 6 goals, 2 assists, and 874 minutes played.
