“Winning the Coppa Italia Was the Best Moment”: Bremer Reflects on His Journey and Ambitions

Bremer

Juventus defender Gleison Bremer has been navigating a challenging season, sidelined by an ACL injury suffered during a Champions League match against Leipzig. While his recovery continues, Bremer has launched a podcast, Bremer Inside, where he shares personal and professional reflections. In the latest episode, the Brazilian opened up about his roots, struggles, and aspirations for the future.

On Brazil: Nostalgia and Pride

Bremer spoke fondly of his homeland, expressing a longing for Brazil’s natural beauty and freedom. “What I miss most about Brazil is that sense of freedom, the beaches, and nature itself,” he said. Representing the Brazilian national team remains one of his greatest honors. Recalling his first call-up, he shared: “I was at home with my family, waiting for the news. It was a happy moment. I thought to myself, ‘I’ll get this call-up, then the World Cup will come, and I’ll be called.’ And that’s exactly what happened.”

Embracing Life in Italy

Though deeply connected to Brazil, Bremer has embraced his life in Italy. “I’m also a Piedmontese now, a citizen of Turin,” he joked. “Soon they might even give me the keys to the city.” He praised Italy’s serene lifestyle and its stunning beaches, particularly in Sardinia, which he enjoys visiting with his wife. He also admires Italians’ elegant style: “It’s truly beautiful.”

Struggles During His Early Days

Bremer didn’t shy away from discussing his initial difficulties in Italy. “My first year here was tough,” he admitted. “I wasn’t playing well on or off the pitch. But I believe everything happens for a reason. Looking back now, it was worth it to see how far I’ve come.”

Highlights at Juventus

Reflecting on his time at Juventus so far, Bremer described winning the Coppa Italia as his most cherished moment: “The best moment was last year when we won the Coppa Italia.” However, he remains hungry for more success.

Ambitions for the Future

Despite his injury setback, Bremer is determined to achieve greater milestones with Juventus. “I wanted to continue and try to win the championship and something even bigger,” he said. “But that’s a story I still have to write here at Juventus. Unfortunately, I got injured, but I’ll come back stronger. We’ll bring our fans great joy and win big titles!”
