Alessio Tacchinardi, a true symbol of Juventus’ history, has travelled to Madrid alongside the Bianconeri ahead of tonight’s highly anticipated showdown with Real Madrid. Speaking to Colpo Gobbo, the former midfielder shared his thoughts on the atmosphere and the upcoming match.
“I saw Tudor yesterday and spoke with him,” said Tacchinardi. “He seemed quite calm, even though he feels the weight of such a difficult game against a strong side in a heated environment. I think there’s no better match to show personality, courage and rebuild self-belief after that ugly and unexpected defeat in Como. I was hoping to see a different Juventus there.”
“A Reaction Could Change the Season”
The former Juve stalwart expressed optimism about the team’s ability to respond in Madrid.
“I want to see a big reaction tonight, but I’m confident,” he continued. “There are matches that can change a season – I don’t mean to exaggerate, but in terms of courage, energy and confidence, this could really give them a strong boost. Real-Barça? I don’t think it will affect things. Juventus are strong and an exciting team to face. Real will think about *El Clásico* afterwards. For them, winning tonight means staying at the top, so they’ll give everything. From a sporting rivalry point of view, it’s fascinating.”
“I Hope Vlahović Can Be the Difference”
Looking ahead to potential match-winners, Tacchinardi highlighted the Serbian striker, though he emphasised the importance of unity above all.
“I hope Vlahović can make the difference,” he said. “But more than any individual, I want to see a team performance — unity, courage, and togetherness. I want a compact, fierce, and hungry Juventus, unlike what we saw in Como. I’m hoping for Vlahović because I think he’s ideal for a game like this, right now. But in the end, it’s the group that makes the difference — so I hope the whole team shows real strength.”
