Juventus return to action tonight following Sunday’s league match against Parma, this time for a high-stakes Coppa Italia quarter-final away to Atalanta in Bergamo. Luciano Spalletti is expected to rotate his squad slightly, mindful of managing his players’ workload during a busy period. Some selection questions, however, remain open as kick-off approaches.
There are still a few key choices to be made in midfield, with Teun Koopmeiners, Manuel Locatelli and Khéphren Thuram competing for two starting places. At present, Koopmeiners and Locatelli appear to hold a slight advantage.
On the left flank, Juan Cabal seems likely to be preferred over Andrea Cambiaso for a starting role, though Spalletti could still decide to make a late change depending on fitness and tactical considerations.
Probable Atalanta Line-Up (3-4-2-1)
Carnesecchi; Scalvini, Djimsiti, Ahanor; Bellanova, De Roon, Ederson, Zalewski; De Ketelaere, Raspadori; Scamacca.
Probable Juventus Line-up (4-2-3-1)
