Juventus were left to rue missed chances after being pegged back by AC Milan in a 1-1 draw at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday. Spalletti’s side dominated large spells of the match, hitting the woodwork and forcing several saves out of Mike Maignan, but it was Milan who struck first through substitute Alphadjo Cisse, who cut inside and beat Vicario at the near post in the 68th minute. Juve continued to push forward and were rewarded deep into stoppage time, as Federico Gatti — thrown forward as an auxiliary striker — met a Teun Koopmeiners cross to head home a dramatic 92nd-minute equaliser and salvage a point from a game his side controlled for long stretches.

Vicario: Not a save to make in the first half but could have done better on the Milan opener. 5.5/10
Kalulu: Some good covering at the back in the first half while also getting into decent positions in the Milan half. Culpable, along with his backline, for Cisse’s goal. 5.5/10
Bremer: Good reading of the game, as always, but caught out on the Milan opener. 5.5/10
Lucumi: A second start for the new signing and he barely put a foot wrong. Perfect positioning, very confident, but maybe could have done more to close down Cisse. 5.5/10
Celik: Very promising addition to the team as his work at both ends of the pitch showed, particularly in defence. 6.0/10
Douglas Luiz: A little too lax with his early positioning and awareness. Some half decent passes but wasn’t decisive in the final third. Needed more urgency. 5.0/10
Locatelli: Did fine in midfield but really needed to do more to shut down Cisse for Milan’s opener. 5.0/10
⭐Conceicao: Teed up by Nico Gonzalez and forced a good save from Maignan. Had another decent chance in the first half when played in by Luiz, but it was too easy for Maignan. Did brilliantly on the break as the second half started and was only denied by the post. 6.5/10
Nico Gonzalez: Snatched on a loose ball early on but his effort was over well the bar. Forced a straightforward save from Maignan not long after, looked lively, drifting wide and into the centre. One of the few players to emerge with some credit tonight. 6.0/10
Alajbegovic: Handed his first start and while he had some decent flourishes in the opening half, he found it difficult to find space against a stubborn Milan back line. 5.5/10
Kolo Muani: Struggled for any real service but when he did get the ball, his poor first touch let him down. Really poor control on occasions. A night to forget. 4.5/10
Spalletti: Chose his best XI but really should have managed his earlier subs better. Great decision to bring on Gatti for the equaliser. 6.0/10
