Juventus’s shareholders meet today at the Allianz Stadium, with the meeting starting at 10:00. The central item is the strengthening of the club’s capital base through a new capital increase of up to €250 million.
The Accounts and the Purpose of the Increase
The 2025-26 financial year closed with a loss of €66 million, worse than the €58.1 million of the previous season but essentially in line with the club’s own forecasts. The new capital is intended to support sporting competitiveness, consolidate the balance-sheet structure, and allow possible investment in strategic real-estate assets, starting with the Allianz Stadium. It would also help strengthen the value of the brand.
Exor’s Backing
Once again the most important support will come from Exor, the majority shareholder with 65.4% of the capital. The holding company of the Agnelli-Elkann family has already confirmed its commitment and announced an immediate payment of €60 million towards the future capital increase.
The Champions League Effect
Tuttosport reads the move as both a show of confidence in the continuity of the project and a recognition that the club must be accompanied through a financially delicate period. The path will not be downhill straight away. Juventus’s leadership has forecast another negative result for 2026-27, mainly because of the absence from the Champions League, with progressive improvement expected in the two following financial years.
That makes a return to Europe’s top competition a priority that is not only sporting but financial. It is the same point made in Tuttosport’s interview with economist Fabrizio Bava, who called the missing Champions League revenue the most worrying aspect of the accounts.
Other Business
With CEO Giovanni Carnevali naturally in the spotlight, particularly after a week in which he addressed the squad directly, the assembly will also consider a remuneration plan based on performance shares for the period 2026/2027 to 2030/2031.
