After serving a suspension of 34 months, former Juventus president Andrea Agnelli is now free to re-enter the world of football. Calciomercato detail how his ban, initially imposed as a two-year suspension in January 2023 for his involvement in the capital gains scandal, was extended by an additional sixteen months for the salary manipulation case. However, the additional term was later reduced to ten months following an appeal.
With this chapter behind him, Agnelli is eligible to resume roles within football governance bodies such as FIGC, UEFA, or FIFA, or take on positions within football clubs. At present, though, he has not indicated plans to immediately return to any such official roles. In a statement made in late September 2025, he expressed enduring affection for Juventus and his home city of Turin, saying, “My love for Juventus remains total and unchanged, as well as my connection with Italy and, particularly, with Turin, my city.” He added that his current focus lies with his investment activities in the energy transition sector, specifically through the Italian Energy Efficiency Fund (FIEE), which operates under experienced management.
Meanwhile, Agnelli’s holding company, based in Amsterdam alongside his family, has reported a fourth consecutive year of profitability, posting a net positive of €308,000 with revenues climbing by nearly €325,000, signalling strong financial health.
