Giovanni Bia, agent of Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso, has addressed the player’s future and current ambitions in an interview with Tuttomercatoweb. The representative emphasized his client’s commitment to Juventus despite external interest, while reflecting on his development under coaches Thiago Motta and Igor Tudor.
Season Highlights and Injury Challenges
Bia acknowledged Cambiaso’s strong start to the campaign, describing it as “a very positive season with wonderful performances.” However, he highlighted the setback of a recurring ankle injury: “He had this huge ankle problem that dragged on for two months. He recovered but then suffered a sprain again against Atalanta. Now we hope he returns on Sunday—he’s focused on that and staying fit. He wants to help Juventus achieve their Champions League goal, which is the remaining objective.”
Relationship with Thiago Motta and Transition to Tudor
Despite Thiago Motta’s recent departure, Bia praised the coach’s role in Cambiaso’s rise: “He had a great relationship with Thiago and always thanked him. Thiago was the first coach to set him on this path to becoming one of Europe’s strongest players.” Regarding the transition to new manager Igor Tudor, Bia stressed professionalism: “He was disappointed by how things ended but will embrace Tudor because he’s a professional who wants to help. Andrea has never had issues with any coach.”
Future Ambitions: Juventus as a Priority
Bia dismissed transfer rumours linking Cambiaso to clubs like Real Madrid, emphasizing the player’s loyalty: “He’s fully focused on Juventus. It’s normal for these rumours to emerge since he’s one of Europe’s top full-backs. There’s movement in the market—like Trent Alexander-Arnold possibly joining Real Madrid—but Andrea doesn’t care. His goal is Juventus and excelling there.”
The agent reiterated Cambiaso’s long-term vision: “He’s absolutely happy at Juventus and has always said so. His dream is to restore Juventus to greatness, play here, and build a legendary career at the club, helping it return to winning ways alongside Europe’s elite. I have no doubt that within a year or two, he’ll achieve this.”
