After Juventus’ victory over Udinese in the Coppa Italia, Weston McKennie spoke to Mediaset about the team’s mindset and his role in the squad.
“Goal or no goal, only winning matters,” McKennie said. “You might play badly, but what counts is winning. Third victory in a row? Juventus is a great club — it has to get back to where it used to be. Because of its history, we want to win and keep going like this.”
When asked about his role on the pitch, McKennie stressed his team-first mentality: “I just want to be available for the team, to run — that’s what I can control.”
Teun Koopmeiners also shared his thoughts with Mediaset after the match. “I like to touch the ball a lot; with my passing, I can help the team,” he explained. “The knock on my shoulder? I felt something, but it didn’t go out. We need to get back to winning — that’s part of the club’s history. We have to push forward in the league and win the Coppa Italia — we must play to win.”
Looking ahead, Koopmeiners also highlighted the significance of their upcoming Serie A clash. “Napoli? It’s a big game, important for the league,” he added.
