Canada Coach Marsch: “David is an exceptional player. Juventus-Inter? I’ll be cheering for the Bianconeri”

The head coach of the Canadian national team, Jesse Marsch, praised (as quoted by Tuttosport) Juventus striker Jonathan David after Canada’s 1-0 friendly win against Wales. The forward, who joined Juventus this summer, earned glowing words from his national manager, who also admitted he will be supporting the Bianconeri in the upcoming Derby d’Italia.

“Juventus secured an exceptional signing”

“I think that by signing him, Juventus have secured an exceptional player. He is very intelligent, he can play in different positions across the attack, either alone or with another striker. He is truly a fantastic player, a natural goalscorer. I believe Juventus have really pulled off a great deal with him.”

“He works for the team”

“Could he win the goalscoring charts? Certainly, he can score many goals. But let me add that, defensively, he is a very intelligent attacker. He works a lot for the team, and for him the result is everything. He is someone who wants to win, he is special! I know Juventus want to get back to the top of Serie A, and securing Jonathan David means having a key asset to rely on.”

“You won’t be disappointed”

“Am I worried about competition? I really like Vlahovic as well, he’s a strong striker. In fact, we wanted him when I was at Leipzig, but Fiorentina managed to sign him first. One thing’s for sure: you will not be disappointed by Jonathan David, believe me.”

Supporting Juventus in the Derby d’Italia

“Juventus-Inter will certainly be an exciting match. Now I’m also a Juventus fan, since the Bianconeri signed David and Inter sold Tajon Buchanan. So I’ll be cheering for my player.”
