Francisco Conceição spoke to DAZN (as quoted by IlBianconero) after Juventus’ hard-fought victory over Cagliari, analysing both the performance and the team’s growing sense of responsibility.
“I think we played a match where we could have scored more goals,” said the Portuguese winger. “I had a chance myself but didn’t take it. We didn’t start well, but then we improved and could have closed the game earlier.”
Reflecting on the team’s slow start, Conceição admitted that Juventus needed to take more risks in possession. “We didn’t start well and could have taken more chances with our passes inside. It was hard to find spaces against a side that defends deep, so we had to take more risks — but we only did that after conceding.”
The 22-year-old emphasised the team’s mindset and consistency going forward. “We know the responsibility we have, and that should be normal for us. We played well in Bodø and want to build that continuity which has been missing. Today we managed it,” he added.
Finally, Conceição praised teammate Kenan Yildiz and expressed concern for Dusan Vlahovic, who was forced off injured. “Yildiz? It’s easy to play with him — you understand each other better. Dusan had a problem with his adductor; we hope it’s nothing serious because he’s very important for us.”
