Di Gregorio: “Proud of My Teammates After Bernabeu Defeat”

Di Gregorio

Juventus goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio shared (as quoted b TuttoJuve)  his thoughts following Juventus’ defeat at the Bernabeu, speaking to Prime Video after the match. Despite the loss, he highlighted the team’s mentality and expressed pride in their performance.

“Defeats always make you angry, but tonight the attitude was fantastic. This is the foundation we need to build on for every match,” Di Gregorio said. “When I return, I will tell my teammates that I am very proud of them because this must be the standard for all the matches ahead.”

Juventus have not secured a win since September 13th, but Di Gregorio noted that this particular defeat stung less due to the team’s effort and unity. He also reacted to praise about his saves, especially those against star forwards Mbappé and Vinicius, with Mbappé having scored in 11 consecutive matches prior.

“I’m happy with the saves, but I feel bad about conceding a goal. I can’t be too pleased, because winning is what matters most and today it was missing, so I’m a bit disappointed,” Di Gregorio admitted.
