“I Want to Stay at Juventus for a Long Time”: Lloyd Kelly’s Commitment to the Bianconeri

Lloyd Kelly is set to lead Juventus’ defence as they kick off their Club World Cup campaign against Al-Ain. With Federico Gatti still recovering, coach Igor Tudor has placed his trust in the former Newcastle defender, who arrived in Turin last January. Kelly has quickly impressed the technical staff and cemented his place in the squad.

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport (as quoted by IlBianconero) , Kelly expressed his satisfaction with his new adventure in Italy:

“We are ready for the World Cup. Personally, I feel good in Italy and at Juventus. The interest from Crystal Palace? I am one hundred percent focused on the Bianconeri and I want to stay at this great club for a long time.”

Kelly highlighted how his Italian experience is playing a decisive role in his tactical development:

“I am getting to know a different culture and a different way of playing compared to England. The history of Serie A is full of great defenders: it’s truly a wonderful experience.”

Yet, his ultimate dream remains a call-up to the England national team, especially with the 2026 World Cup on the horizon:

“I will do my best to play for England, the national team is always on my mind.”
