Juventus Assess Moves for Guido Rodríguez and Gonzalo García as Summer Push for Tonali Looms

Start

With the transfer market approaching, Juventus are preparing to strengthen their squad — particularly in midfield. Gianluca Di Marzio reports that the Bianconeri are evaluating potential reinforcements and one name under consideration is Guido Rodríguez of West Ham United.

The Argentine midfielder, 31, is seen as an experienced, ready-made option for the short term. However, Juventus would only pursue a loan deal, aiming to preserve financial flexibility for the summer window. In June, the club’s main target remains Sandro Tonali of Newcastle United, a player long admired in Turin and regarded as a major upgrade for their midfield project.

Meanwhile, attention is also turning towards a possible attacking reinforcement. Juventus are searching for a backup to Kenan Yıldız, and Real Madrid youngster Gonzalo García has emerged as a candidate. The 2004-born forward caught the eye at the FIFA Club World Cup but has recently seen limited game time with Los Blancos.

Any deal for García would depend on the formula agreed upon between the clubs, with a potential structure similar to that used in the Nico Paz negotiations — featuring a buy-back clause favouring Real Madrid. The coming weeks will be decisive as Juventus weigh short-term needs against their longer-term ambitions to rebuild the squad under a sustainable plan.
