The mercato window has finally creaked open amid the initial flurry of deals made to help fix the books before the financial year ended.
Excitement of young Jeff Ekhator signing on the dotted line…disappointment of seeing Daffara and Puczka converted to cash. Since then, we are returned to the same slow motion carousel as before, waiting on news. With an acceleration due before the summer camp begins on July 13th for as mentioned in my recent piece, Carnevali is not the type to be hedging his bets on the final day of the mercato.
