Juventus have shifted their focus on the transfer market, turning their attention to strengthening the flanks. La Gazzetta dello Sport report that after prioritising attacking reinforcements — particularly a winger to rotate with Kenan Yildiz — the Bianconeri are now targeting a right-back, with Manchester United’s Noussair Mazraoui emerging as a potential option.
Mazraoui’s Situation
The 28-year-old is currently representing Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations and will reassess his club situation upon returning to Old Trafford. His future at United remains uncertain following the recent dismissal of manager Rúben Amorim, under whom he played just 443 minutes across nine appearances, six of them as a starter.
Mazraoui, a product of Ajax’s academy, is known for his versatility, technical quality, and pace. While primarily deployed on the right for United, he often plays on the left for Morocco, adapting his role depending on team needs. This flexibility makes him an appealing option for Juventus as they look to add depth and reliability on both flanks.
How He Fits at Juventus
For Luciano Spalletti, Mazraoui could serve as a valuable alternative to Pierre Kalulu or Andrea Cambiaso — both key figures in the current squad. His ability to deliver accurate crosses and cut inside from wide areas to combine in tighter spaces aligns well with Spalletti’s attacking patterns.
In addition, the Moroccan international’s European experience and dual Dutch-Moroccan nationality add to his professional profile, offering Juventus both tactical and regulatory flexibility in squad registration.
Alternatives Under Consideration
Juventus had already explored the possibility of signing Mazraoui at the end of last summer but ultimately moved in other directions. Now, with the player’s role at United in question, the Italian club have reignited their interest.
However, the feasibility of a deal remains uncertain, prompting the Bianconeri to evaluate other names as well. One of them is Sacha Boey, the French full-back currently on the fringes at Bayern Munich — another familiar option previously discussed by Juventus scouting staff.
