Teun Koopmeiners spoke to DAZN (as quoted by ilbianconero) after the Derby della Mole between Juventus and Torino, reflecting on the team’s performance and his own role in the match.
Discussing the game, the Dutch midfielder explained the tactical approach set by the coach: “The manager told us that we needed to find Dusan because they were pressing high and playing man-to-man, which left space behind their defenders. Sometimes we managed to exploit it, other times a bit less. We played a good game when we had the ball and pressed higher up the pitch. In the box, though, we missed a few details.”
Speaking about his position on the pitch, Koopmeiners shared how comfortable he feels in his current role: “In this position I can push up like a midfielder. When I move forward, I feel more freedom thanks to the movements of Cambiaso and Kenan. If I’m freer, I can help the team more.”
He also expressed his satisfaction with his form and contribution to the team dynamics: “I feel comfortable in this position; I can help the team with my quality. I want to touch the ball many times, make passes, help Kenan and the midfielders. I can move forward, and in this role, I can do that.”
