OFFICIAL: Juventus Sack Thiago Motta and Appoint Igor Tudor As Interim Coach

Motta

Juventus have  officially parted ways with Thiago Motta as head coach of the men’s first team. The club expressed gratitude to Motta and his staff for their professionalism, dedication, and passion during their tenure, wishing them success in their future endeavours.

The decision comes after a challenging period for Juventus, marked by disappointing performances and a lack of cohesion both on and off the pitch. Motta’s stint lasted less than a year, with results falling short of expectations. Under his leadership, the team struggled to maintain consistency, suffering heavy defeats and exiting major competitions like the Champions League and Coppa Italia.

In response to these setbacks, Juventus have  appointed Igor Tudor as the new head coach. Tudor, who is well-acquainted with the club from his time as a player and assistant coach, is set to take charge immediately, with his first training session scheduled for March 24. The Croatian manager has signed a contract until the end of the season, with an option for renewal contingent on securing Champions League qualification.

Tudor’s arrival signals a fresh start for Juventus as they aim to regain their competitive edge in Serie A and secure a top-four finish. Known for his strong character and tactical adaptability, Tudor is expected to bring stability and renewed focus to the team during this critical phase of the season.
