Positive Signals: Tudor and Comolli Chart Juventus’ Future Together

Start

After a turbulent period filled with rumours and uncertainty, Igor Tudor has emerged with renewed confidence following a pivotal meeting with Juventus’ new general manager, Damien Comolli. The encounter, which followed a show of support from Exor CEO John Elkann, was marked by a constructive and positive tone. With Comolli laying out a clear path forward, Tudor now finds himself firmly at the helm, steering Juventus into its next phase.

Looking Beyond the Immediate Horizon

Tudor’s focus now extends well past the upcoming tour in the United States and the Club World Cup. Since Monday, he has been working closely with the players who remain at Continassa, those not currently engaged with their national teams. This core group is supplemented daily by young talents from the Under 20 and Next Gen squads, as preparations intensify for the team’s departure to the U.S. on June 14. The tour will serve as a crucial test, with Comolli observing closely to better understand the squad and make informed decisions about the club’s direction. The prevailing sense is that, after the World Cup and the summer break, Tudor will continue to lead Juventus into the 2025/2026 season.

Two Key Priorities for the New Era

With Tudor’s continued leadership looking increasingly certain, two pressing matters top Comolli’s agenda. The first is securing a contract extension for the Croatian coach. While Tudor’s current deal was automatically renewed with Juventus’ Champions League qualification and runs until June 30, 2026, it is customary to further safeguard both the coach and the club’s project with a longer-term agreement.

The second priority is reinforcing the technical staff. Upon his arrival, Tudor brought only his trusted goalkeeping coach Rogic and assistant Javorcic. Expanding and strengthening the coaching team will be essential as Juventus prepares for the challenges ahead.
