Reports from Spain suggest that Dusan Vlahovic is edging closer to an agreement with AC Milan, prompting Barcelona to remove the Serbian striker from their shortlist of potential replacements for Robert Lewandowski.
According to Catalan sports daily Sport (as quoted by Il Corriere dello Sport), Barca have decided not to pursue the Juventus forward as they begin planning for life after Lewandowski, who could leave the Camp Nou in the summer. The main reason behind this decision, the paper claims, lies in Vlahovic’s apparent proximity to an accord with the Rossoneri.
The 25‑year‑old striker, currently sidelined by an injury expected to keep him out for around three months, sees his contract with Juventus expire in June. Despite initial interest from Barcelona, the financial demands associated with his salary—along with his limited impact so far this season—are said to have cooled the club’s enthusiasm.
If confirmed, a move to Milan would reunite Vlahovic with Massimiliano Allegri, under whom he previously played during his time in Turin. For Milan, such a signing would represent a major attacking reinforcement ahead of the second half of the campaign.
