“These Are the Matches That Worry Me Most, We Relax” — Bremer Reflects on Juventus Draw with Lecce

Start

Juventus defender Gleison Bremer expressed frustration after the Bianconeri’s 1–1 home draw against Lecce, a result that leaves the team with plenty of regrets following numerous missed chances. Speaking with DAZN after the match, the Brazilian centre-back admitted that complacency in certain games continues to concern him.

On the Match

“These are the matches that worry me most, we relax,” Bremer said. “We created a lot but took too long to score. Sometimes when we dominate like this, we then experience this drop. It only takes one mistake, one counter-attack, and you concede a goal, just like what happened.”

Juventus had controlled the game for long stretches but were unable to turn their dominance into goals, hitting the woodwork twice and failing to convert a penalty in the second half.

On David

Bremer also spoke about teammate David, who missed a crucial spot-kick but put in a strong overall performance. “He’s a good guy, he works hard. It’s tough for me to mark him in training because he moves like a top player,” the Brazilian commented. “Today he missed a goal from the penalty but was having a good match. He was unlucky with the post. He’s a proper lad, and his time will come — he’ll do well in the future.”

On What Juventus Still Lack

Looking at the bigger picture, Bremer emphasised that matches like this must end in victory. “Today was a match we had to win against Lecce, with all due respect. We are Juventus, playing at home. We created a huge number of chances but didn’t score — we hit two posts and missed a penalty. We deserved to win not 2–1, but by more. Unfortunately, that’s how it went.”
